cheap thrill of the WeEk!

THREADing!

I was wandering aimlessly through the mall, weaving in and out of the shopping stands in the middle (you know, the stands you think are a pretty damn useless waste of space, trying to sell you useless crap... like the body jewelry stand, the fake pony tail stand, the creepy persian guy hassling you to buy special hand lotion stand, the fake cigarette stand, etc. etc. ) Lo and behold, an eyebrow threading stand!!! There was a creepy guy trying to hustle customers for the eyebrow threading stand, but when I saw the "ONLY 9.95!" sign, the creepiness got a little less creepy and I was sold.

For those of you who don't know what threading is, its a great alternative to waxing and plucking your eyebrows! Using thread! The method originating in India, it perfects your brows like no other. No worry of allergic reaction to wax, less painful than plucking, and it lasts for about a month! It's a cleaner line, more precise, pulls hair from the root, and generally awesome.

I did this once at an uppity salon in Ballard. I paid 45 bucks for it. It's a ridiculous price, I know, but my brows were once quite unruly and no matter what I did, they just never looked right. I would do whatever and pay whatever to get them to be "normal".

Point being, I just HAD to do it today! In spite of my efforts to save money by giving up little luxuries like eyebrow and upper lip waxings, hair trims, and mani/pedis (which has been going well with the exception of today). I thought this was a reasonable time and way to reward myself. Which I did. and I'm so happy with it!

Anyways, for you people in the seattle area, go to South Center Mall. The little stand is located in front of forever21 and abercrombie. or hollister I can't remember which one. But its there! Try it for 10 bucks! The woman knows what she's doing :)

self restraint

I had another day off today. It was most unproductive. I did take a stroll through the mall though because it is my favorite pass time. I don't know why because I always end up really depressed and too aware of how poor I am.

Which is why I usually stick to forever 21. But even today, forever 21 was too much. But I didn't hesitate to grab things and try them on and take pictures of my vain self... I mean, what else is there to do when you're poor?

Rompin' good time.

Could be really cute if it was just a size smaller...

The cardi I wanted the most out of everything in the store..

It's nothing incredibly special or out of the ordinary, but I know I would probably wear this all the time. To work, to play, to everything. Well worth 22 dollars for millions times of wear.

But alas, I just put it on hold and walked away.

I didn't go back. :(

feels like forever

the weather could not be more perfect for my day off! week days off are great because i can shop sans large crowds and all the hustle and bustle.

i got some birthday money and went on a forever21 rampage. i spent about 3 hours there. but only because i spent a lot of time in the dressing room taking pictures. haha

i thought i would give you guys a look at the dupe jumpsuit and share some fun finds...
and i apologize for the quality of the pictures again. this is my camera phone so bare with meeeeeeeeeeee.

sthese shoes are soooo awesome. only 20 dollars!
sadly, i did not buy :(

i found some boyfriend jeans.
i am such a trend whore.

they make me look super stumpy tho :/
i look about 3 inches shorter

decided to try some super light wash skinnies (14dollars)
still make me look short.

ok thats it for now, gunna go enjoy the sun some more~

is it summer yetttttttttttttttttttt

DUPE ALERT!

manly in the face??
Black Halo Strapless Jumpsuit
Goes for Three Hundred and 90 BiG oNeS!~ at shopbop.com
However, you can purchase the SAME exact jumpsuit at Forever21 for a mere 22 dollars. and it even comes with a belt for cinching... Which this outfit TOTALLY needs (and some bangles and some big big earrings)
Unfortunately, I can't find the dupe at forever21's website. It's at the store though and I can't decide if i really want to purchase this.

I've been feeling a little risky lately by wanting to jump on the romper/jumpsuit bandwagon. This outfit totally appeals to me and I think I love it.

and yes I know that Carrie Bradshaw wore an outfit similar to this at her dinner rehearsal and it makes me want this even more.

(you can't see it, but this was the best i could do..)

(because if Carrie Bradshaw wore it, then it must be fabulous right?)

more shopbopping~

Elizabeth and James Kingston Trousers
i bought pants similar to this in gray at H&M for 15 dollars. -__-

who pays high end designer prices these days anyway? you're stupid
you can find the same damn thing at forever21/target GUARANTEED

I've been thinking about getting black opaque thigh highs. But I think I must have these instead.
edit- i bought some at target for five dollars.

sam edelman flats

Oh how I want a pair of you. You are shaped in such a way that makes my feet look so pretty and dainty. (Sometimes flats are just as uncomfortable as heels. Sometimes flats can make your feet look wide, and sometimes they're too rounded at the toe, and sometimes flats can make you look like you have kankles...but not you sam edelman..) And you look so good with dark skinnies. I would wear you all the time but will I ever be able to bring myself to pay over a hundred dollars for a pair of flats? I do not know. But I will pine away for you. And hope you're hiding somewhere at a nordstrom rack...marked with a blue sticker... or whatever color is coordinated with 35% off...

*ps these are actually 67 bucks now instead of 114.

i guess its the thought that counts...

One day I was inspired to go to the gym.
I went to the car that is my closet because I believed I would find my tennis shoes there.
They weren't there.
I was pretty dissappointed. But it didn't last very long because any excuse to shop is always a good deterrent to sadness.

Anyways, I got myself to the mall sometime over the last two weeks and I picked up these.

They are incredibly light weight. And they were the first ones I saw at nordstrom that didn't look too wonky. I didn't put too much effort into bargain hunting because the boy was with me and boys bitch and moan whenever they aren't playing video games or something. -__-

Well its been two or so weeks since I've bought these and I still haven't worn them. I'm probably going to return them. They are too expensive and I won't get my money's worth considering the inspiration to work out is dwindling.

Illuminating Veil Talc-Free Mineral Wear, Nude Glow

I read about this somewhere and I decided to try it. Physicians formula was having a buy one get one half off sale (not THAT great, but whatever.) I've been meaning to buy a face loose powder and I'm convinced the Coastal Scents Silica Powder breaks me out. I've used the Illuminating Veil about three times now and it works pretty well. It makes my face glowy and it hasn't broken me out!
Plus it's cheaper than traditional high end bran
d powders. :)

Concealer Twins® 2-in-1 Correct & Cover Cream Concealer

I bought this for 2 bucks ish... Since its also 2 in 1, its an even beetter deal!
It's now a part of my everyday make up routine. I like the cream colored concealer a lot. I also like the green because of the redness neutralization. But it is so liquidy that it can't be very concentrated into a certain spot. Like, I have some red spots/scars and I just want to cover those spots, but even a tiny dot of the green concealer can cover my entire cheek. So I use the green sparingly and I really think it works to neutralize the red. I saw a more solid/cream package of this concealer I think I will try if I catch it on sale sometime (pictured below).

Concealer 101® Perfecting Concealer Duo

Overall, I am really liking these two products. I've been using them frequently, if not everyday. They haven't caused any break outs so far (knock on wood) and they are not extremely expensive. I will try to do a more detailed post about the illuminating veil sometime in the near future...

:)

organizized

i live out of my car and reused forever 21 bags.
peek into my car, and you'll find an uneaten fruit and cheese plate, empty starbucks cups and 75% of my closet.

this has become the way i live not because i am homeless, but because i feel like i have two homes that aren't quite my home. i have one home in which i pay $550+/month for that houses my two lovely and dear roommates. i have another home in which i actually stay at (free of charge, but hardly cost-free......) with my boyfriend and his roommates... and it hardly feels like i have my own space. a corner where i stuff my duffle and forever 21 bags does not count. but anyway, traveling between the two places makes for a messy, messy car.

with all of the crap i've accumulated, i need to seriously organize all of my belongings. i have fairly nice belongings and they need to be handled nicely. and the sense of creating my own space is something i've been craving lately.

i decided to start simple so i set out to target to buy some storage space for...of course...my makeup.

i have a lot of it, but i've lost most of it lugging my damn make up bags around back and forth from a to b to c back to a and then to d....so its easy to leave a piece or two behind, or have it fall out in my car... its hard to keep track of all that crap. yeah... its quite sad because my make up collection would be more impressive.

i bought some clear vanity trays for fairly cheap and i thought i would share! :)

Make up I only use sparingly:

Everyday makeup:
Very simple.

Cute things/I have no shame
(This bathroom is shared with 3 other guys)
hehe

Necessities:

I recently switched body lotions to Nivea. The Eucerin Plus Intensive Smoothing smells too awful. I endured the stench for a couple months, but could go on no longer. Loving the Nivea.

Anyway, that is it for now. The creation of space and organization continues and I'll keep you updated.
